The Works of Christopher Marlowe

The Jew of Malta

Act: 1 Scene: 1
Come therefore let us goe to Barrabas;
For he can counsell best in these affaires;
And here he comes.
I feare their comming will afflict us all.
But there's a meeting in the Senate-house,
And all the Jewes in Malta must be there.
Let's take our leaves; Farewell good Barabas.

Act: 1 Scene: 2
Oh my Lord we will give halfe.
Good Barabas be patient.
On then: but trust me 'tis a misery
To see a man in such affliction:
Farewell Barabas.
