The Works of Christopher Marlowe

Dr. Faustus (A Text)

Act: 2 Scene: 1
O Faustus! lay that damned book aside,
And gaze not on it lest it tempt thy soul,
And heap God's heavy wrath upon thy head.
Read, read the Scriptures: that is blasphemy.

Act: 2 Scene: 5
Sweet Faustus, leave that execrable Art.
O, they are means to bring thee unto Heaven.
Sweet Faustus, think of Heaven, and heavenly
things.

Act: 2 Scene: 6
Faustus, repent; yet God will pity thee.
Never too late, if Faustus can repent.
Repent, and they shall never raze thy skin.
[Exeunt Angels.
